UltraTech continues winning streak at EMVIES 23

UltraTech Cement Limited, India’s largest cement and Ready-Mix-Concrete (RMC) company, wins multiple awards across different categories at the ‘The EMVIES FY23’. With the three awards at the EMVIES, the total tally for this financial year stands at 44 and the total number of awards at 118 

 

The three awards across different categories are:

  • Gold - Ghar Ek Mauka EK - Best Media Sponsorship

  • Silver - Ghar Ek Mauka EK - Best Integrated Campaign

  • Silver - BGK 2.0 - Best Digital Strategy

 

The EMVIES Awards, considered the “Oscars” of media awards, introduced by the Advertising Club India, honours significant and effective contribution in the field of media by advertisers and their media agency partners.  The 23rd edition of The Emvies received a record number of over 1400 entries, of which over 450 entries were shortlisted by media experts. The winners were selected by the who’s who of the advertising and media fraternity across the country from the shortlisted entries.

 

These awards are a recognition of the unit team’s commitment to customers to ‘manufacture cement based on quality standards incorporating customer expectations’. All Kaizen practices of Rawan Cement Works were driven by the purpose to maximise value for customers.

 

The unit team presented four best practices of improvements in manufacturing processes which were selected as among the 100 best Kaizen practices nationally by CII. The Kaizen practices presented by the unit focused on innovative ideas for enabling zero breakdown, zero defect and zero accident philosophy in manufacturing. These focused on addressing issues that the unit team faced in their Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) journey.

 

The success for the unit team was driven by their meticulous attention to every customer feedback which helped to ensure superior quality of products and processes.

 

Kaizen, which in Japanese means ‘change for the better’, has come to be the industry standard globally for companies to drive continuous improvements in the manufacturing processes. Kaizen as a concept focuses on creative solutions to continually solve large numbers of small problems. The power of Kaizen is in the ongoing process of continually making small improvements that improve processes and reduce waste creating significant impact at scale.
